139th Meeting

The invitation

Dear fellow Toastmasters and friends, You are invited to 139th Chapter meeting of SZTM held on Dec. 16! The development discussion session will conducted by Robert Luo. Robert Luo is a game player, game designer, competent communicator and our President of SZTM (2006,7 to 2007,6). In this 37 minute session, we will discuss how to make personal plan as a toastmaster member in the coming New Year. Robert will lead the discussion. During the session, every toastmaster members has choices to express your opinion on it, and the group will thank for your contribution.

The discussion will result a plan for the issue, and hopefully will help all of us to make a good plan. Let us meet on the night of 16 Dec 2008 and make your personal plan for 2009! In this meeting, we will have other 2 prepared speakers. Our passionate and kind gentleman, Jimmy Pan will take her first step to deliver Ice Breaker speech: It’s Jimmy. Our active and global new member, Sean Chan, also will show his Ice Breaker speech: US Energy Policy in next 10 years. Let us expect their wonderful speeches! Best Prepared Speaker: Sean Best Evaluator: Micheal Lee 2008 is going to past now, do u have any personal plan for 2009? Our smile Robert led us planed our Toastmasters improvement for the coming 2009. Each of us joined the discussion actively, and made a lot of great suggestions. Such as adding the meeting times, set a goal first and then try our best to achieve it, etc. Timer Jenny and Ah counter Brook were both the first time to take their roles, but they both did a great job! As Grammarian, I gave a fashion word for the the night 4/7 (means all time), for it‘s one of the most popular words used by the youth of American nowadays, and many fellow members used it very good!

The prepared speakers this night were 2 gentleman, they both delivered their Ice Breaker. Jimmy told us about his hard way of his smoking quit, Sean talked about the importance of the new energy nowadays. So surprised that they acted just as the experienced members, good vocal variety and body language! Evaluator handsome Michael and elegant Jasmin praised the speakers great performance and also gave them some suggestions to let them make progress in future. Our fellow member June Higiwara, another elegant lady, from USA, gave us some special evaluation. She told us some differences from the TM club of USA and us, and gave us some useful suggestions!
